On June 5-6, BioMar participated in RASTECH 2024 in Charlotte, North Carolina, joining over 350 experts and key players in the aquaculture industry. Maksim highlighted the significance of connecting with companies like Salmon Evolution and Proximar Seafood, as well as researchers from Benchmark Genetics and the Freshwater Institute. “The conversations we had at RASTECH reflected the collective effort to move the industry forward,” he said.
Key topics discussed during the conference included risk management, smolt health in RAS environments, and wastewater treatment innovations. The Investors' Forum highlighted the growing interest in RAS technology from the financial sector, reinforcing the importance of BioMar’s continued focus on RAS feed solutions.
Emerging technologies in wastewater treatment were a particular point of interest. These innovations are key to improving the sustainability of land-based aquaculture, an area where BioMar continues to lead.
